Concerts & Events

As part of our Outreach Ministry, we pack our yearly calendar with many concerts and events for the whole family.

April and May are featured months for some of the best gospel music. Many of the groups featured at the Great Western Fan Festival make stops at our church. In June, we kick-off the summer with our annual Picnic in the Park. Our Independence Day “Celebrate America” concert and BBQ in July is a hit every year. The Western Round-Up and Harvest Festival in October celebrate the Fall festivities. December is a special time of year and we celebrate by giving a gift to the community every year. Using live animals and actors, our annual Christmas Drive Thru depicts the birth, life, and death of Jesus. It is a must-see for everyone. Just a few weeks later we bring in the new year with a concert, chili cook-off, and fireworks at our New Year’s Eve Celebration.

We’re known for our free concerts, which is amazing because most of the groups seen at the Gaither Homecoming tours across America sing at our church! Yes, we said it; our concerts are all FREE!

The following gospel singers and bands visit Crossroads Community Church on a regular basis:  Jason Crabb, Keepers Of The Faith, Liberty Quartet, The Needhams, The Nelons, Gordon Mote, The Hoppers, The Isaacs, Janet Paschal & Friends, Kingsmen Quartet, Leon Patillo, Legacy Five, Lisa Daggs, The Martins, The Mann Clan, and Ronnie Pack Band.

Christmas Drive-Thru

The Miracle of Christmas Drive-Thru is the story of the life of Christ with scenes from before He was born, the manger, the visit of the shepherds and magi (wise men), Jesus as a boy, the Last Supper, Jesus being beaten, the cross, the empty tomb and His triumphant ascension into Heaven. The live nativity has 15 different scenes, each with its own theatrical set, complete with actors and animals. Before each set, a scripture verse that explains the meaning of the scene is displayed on a large board. It takes over 350 volunteers each year to produce the drive-thru. Since it is cold outside in December, our actors work in 45-minute shifts. All of the beautiful scenes are enhanced by the costumes and props made by our volunteers. Each year over 8,000 take a tour through the scenes. Many are moved to tears at the end. The drive-thru is offered free to the public. It is our gift to Yuba City and the surrounding area.
