11:00 AM The Righteousness of God Revealed in the Life of Job
David Ewey
In this class for adults of all ages, we delve into and dissect the Book of Job,
wrestling with its challenging themes to glean from its pages God’s revelation of
His RIGHTEOUSNESS. Our current theme, “The Righteousness of God”, is part of a larger
study entitled, “Wielding the Shield of Faith: Learning to Trust God in the Face
of Adversity.” The premise of this class is that the strength of our faith is determined
by our understanding of and focus on the NATURE and CHARACTER of God, as well as
the degree of intimacy we have with Him. In addition to studying the Word, we spend
a significant amount of time at the beginning of each lesson sharing with and praying
for one another.

It has been exciting to see many men from our church studying and discussing the
word of God. Pastor Robert is a very motivational speaker. There is a fellowship
time where men can get to know each other better.

We begin gathering before class for coffee, treats and great fellowship. Our class
format includes going through a chapter of scripture a week, lecture, historical
information and discussion. Adults of all ages are welcomed. We meet in the God

better and also help struggling relationships. Dave teaches several series during

Learning to control our emotions and especially anger is challenging for all of
us. Anger often originates out of life’s disappointments that result in resentment

WOW, In the Word On Wednesdays
offers a men’s class called Mighty Men of God. This Bible study is a good way to
connect with others facing similar issues and promotes accountability. Led by Pastor
Robert Echevarria, the class meets in the Conference Room above the kitchen.
Tuesday Prayer Team
A group of men meet every Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM to pray for the staff, church
activities, and needs of people who have submitted requests. They also spend time
in the word of God.
Wednesday Morning Prayer
Men gather at 5:00 AM to start their day off with prayer. They pray for their needs
and the needs of their family, our church family, and requests that come in during
the week and in the services. Wednesday Morning Prayer is led by Alvin Marshall.
Men’s Breakfast
Enjoy a great time of fellowship with a hearty breakfast on the 3rd Saturday morning
of every month in the Gym at 8:00 AM. This time for men offers opportunities for
men to join together for bible study and other activities.
Annual Fishing Trip
If you like the challenge of landing “the big fish”, you’ll want to sign up for
the Annual Fishing Trip. It’s just fun!
The hearing-impaired join our hearing congregation each Sunday morning for the 9:00
AM service. Our certified interpreters assist in the translating the songs and message.
The group then meets for Sunday School class. They plan social events throughout
the year. Robin Beals and Dianne Kindred lead this ministry. Rachel and Mark Osburn
teach the Sunday School class

Adults 55 and older are invited to join other senior adults for Sunday School, Wednesday
evening classes, monthly luncheons, trips, and a variety of other activities.
Prime Timers
Those 55 and older are invited to join us at noon on the first Friday of each month
for a “bring a dish” lunch, fellowship and devotional. It’s a great place to meet
others who are in this season of life and develop deeper relationships with one
another.
Senior Retreat
In the Spring, our 55 and older family spend a weekend at Diamond Arrow Christian
Conference Center enjoying the great outdoors, good food, good fellowship and good
teaching!
Senior Trips
Seniors enjoy many bus trips during the year together! It’s an inexpensive way to
travel to great places and enjoy getting to know one another as they ride the church’s
tour bus. Recent trips have included such places as: San Francisco (with a Ferry
Ride included), Apple Hill in Placerville, outlet shopping in Vacaville, Asparagus
Festival in Stockton, and restaurants in Williams, Sacramento and Chico.

Friday Nite Singles
A time for meeting new people and fellowshipping with old friends, worshiping together,
getting in the Word and taking it to the world. All ages are welcome.
Singles Luncheon
Following the morning worship service, single adults of all ages and their families
enjoy a great meal and time of fellowship in the gym on the 3rd Sunday of each month,
after the 2nd service.

and service areas, small groups are a way to break down the “big church” into smaller
affinity and age-related groups, meeting the various needs in the church body.

Children of God Ministry (formerly Something Special Ministry)
meets on Sunday afternoons from 1:30–3:00 PM in the God Squad Room for praise, worship,
teaching from the Bible, prayer and fellowship.
Director Pat Turner, Ph.D., (Clinical Psychologist), has a life
credential in Special Education and has 30 years of experience in this field with
infants 6 months through adults.
Assistant Director Mary Mosley has been active with special needs
adults and children for more than ten years in the Yuba City community.
Women’s Ministry invites ladies of all ages to grow in their relationship with Christ,
act as an encouragement to one another, and participate in a variety of service-oriented
opportunities.
Annual Women’s Banquet
Our annual women’s banquet takes place in May. Table hostesses each decorate and
host a table, creating a unique table; some glamorous, some exotic, some fun! Add
a special guest speaker and music and it’s a time to remember.
Annual Fall Retreat
Our ladies look forward to a week-end away to refresh and revitalize. It’s a fun
time to meet new friends and just relax, laugh and learn.
Women's Brunch
Whether it’s scrambled eggs or quiche and cantaloupe the monthly brunch is a
time of great food and fellowship. Bring your favorite casserole, fruit or breakfast
breads and enjoy! We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM in the Gym.
